I have been teaching English since 1999. My teaching career began in Washington D.C. and has included a stop in Montgomery County, MD before taking me to Loudoun County, VA where I have been for the last 5 years. The three schools that I have taught in are: Archbishop Carroll High School, Sherwood High School and Dominion High School. In addition to teaching English, I am the sponsor for the student newspaper and the yearbook. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland at College Park. Currently, I teach Honors English 11; Journalism; Newspaper I, II, and III and Photojournalism I and II. Other courses taught include English 10, English 12 and public speaking. My tutoring experience ranges from individual private tutoring to working for tutoring agencies. Privately, I have worked with middle school and high school students in math and English while also focusing on organizational and studying tools. Through agencies my experience includes general skills improvement to SAT tutoring. Additionally, I am currently the JV girls soccer coach but my experience includes middle school boys, high school varsity boys and girls and college club.
